Use a UX quote to start a design discussion

Turn a short quotation into a question about a real interface rather than using it as a substitute for evidence.

Choose a relevant idea

Open UX Quotes in Figma and insert a quote related to the problem your team is discussing. Read it in context and verify its attribution before using it in material shared outside the team. A memorable statement can introduce a topic, but it cannot prove that a specific design decision is correct.

Connect it to the interface

Place the quote beside a screen and write a concrete question: “Can a new user identify the next step?” or “Which label describes the action most clearly?” Ask reviewers to point to observable behavior rather than simply agree with the quote.

Record the decision separately

Write down what the team changed and what evidence would confirm the improvement. Keep the quote as discussion context. The decision log should still make sense if the quotation is removed.
